Instruments of the clarinet choir

The Thameside Clarinet Choir is a well-established group of around twenty players which meets to play every week in school term time. It is based near Kingston upon Thames, which is in South West London, UK, rehearsing from 8:00 to 10:00 pm on Thursdays during the term at St John's Church, Kingston Road, New Malden, KT3 3RU.

The Choir welcomes new members of at least Grade 6 standard, especially Eb, Alto and Bass or Contrabass clarinet. A good sense of humour is an advantage! Contact the Musical Director, Martin Hinckley.

The Choir rehearses and performs concerts for its own pleasure, and, twice a year, organises Playdays to which guest players are invited. We are also interested in performing for other occasions and welcome enquiries from promoters.

Its repertoire embraces all kinds of music from Albinoni to Zingarelli including some swing and light music.  The library of over three hundred pieces comprises both original compositions and arrangements.
