Our Accompanist
- Alexander Chaplin Alexander Chaplin held the organ scholarships at Lincoln Cathedral and at Lincoln College, Oxford, where he read Music and studied with David Sanger. Subsequently he held a postgraduate scholarship at the Royal College of Music where he studied conducting and organ with Neil Thomson and Nicholas Danby, and participated in masterclasses with George Hurst, John Carewe, Paul Goodwin and Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies. In 2002 he was a prizewinning recipient of the Royal College of Organist's Choral Directing Diploma. Alexander is in great demand as both accompanist and conductor. He is Musical Director of Vision Opera, London, conductor of The Jackdaws Choir and a visiting tutor at the Jackdaws Educational Trust, Somerset; a lecturer and accompanist at Morley College, London, and conductor of Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Music Society. He will be conducting productions of Mozart's Cosi fan tutti and Scott Joplin's Treemonisha later in 2007, in both London and on tour in SW England. Contact Alex |
